Went and watch "the day the earth stood still" in 1u on Friday sementara to celebrate mummy winx's birthday.

Coming back to the topic, the movie was quite monotonous, flat, and boring. Felt quite dissatisfied after watching it though. I'm serious! Look here, Keanu reeves is in the show. The title sounds good. The poster look nice. And the description said that it's an alien invasion kinda thingy. Obviously it has to be somewhat special right?

But noooooooo, the movie just has to slapped us with beautiful effects but less content. I mean, I'm sitting there waiting for something to happen and it just didn't. So overall rating I'll give a 4/10.

After that, went to NZX full house for dinner. Full house was overall a nice place to eat. Wait, dont get me wrong. I meant the environment was great. The place was decorated with a cute mini cooper and it gives you a sense of garden weddings. However, the food is only so-so. And the price is expensive too. Never, never, never try to order the spagettis. They come in small porportion. If you are a light eater, it's most probably enough for you. But even so, i would prefer you to go for something else instead.

After dinner, went to walk around the place and visited this disney place (forgot what's the actual name for the event). Paid about Rm10 for the entry ticket and started to explore/take pics/play games and so on. Oh ya, the entry ticket can also be used for redemption, e.g mug.

My friends would be having a year's end and new year's party on the 31st and 1st though. Pretty sad to say i might not be joining. But then again, i'm not sure. My blog will be inactive for several days as i wont be around for a while now.

Went out with jazs, wawa, frankie and chicken to watch the movie IP man last night at 11.30. But we only went in at about 11.45 i think.

I only got 2 words to say about this movie:

"Must watch!"

The kung fu stances are all great!It just leaves you hungry for more!

The plot/storyline is nice too!!! Heck i might even buy the original DVD (providing if it's cheap. 20-ish i can still consider)

Ahhh...i feel like wanna watch again. *hint* *hint*

Since when that multimedia gives power? I thought it is more than one media? I only know that multimedia application gives you an opportunity to do those stuff. They never mentioned that using that will give you a boost of power though.

Ah...another misconception of the uses of internet. True we did use it to find information...but that isnt the main reason. Is using msn through internet consider finding information?

And so? Multimedia refers to a lot of media right? Right. That doesnt sound very convincing isnt it? Basically, it's like putting an explanation for the sake of explaining. Dont tell me they copied the concept from multitask which literally means doing a lot of task at the same time. Hmmm....i wonder if they will give us full marks if we just write exactly like that for our exams.

Movie soundtracks

Well, i never really a sucker for movie soundtracks. Even if i do usually it's only one or two songs which caught my interest. However this is the first time i have 2 albums! Both are from the recently broadcast movie : Twilight.

The songs are not particular great. Somehow i like them because these songs are able to generate the mood of the movie. It's like when you listen to this particular piece, you be able to recall parts of the movie.

And the genre of the songs are well balance. Not too heavy rock, not too moody. And I'm quite surprised to know that Robert Pattison ( Edward Cullen) had written and sung two songs for this movie as well ( i read this somewhere but don't know it's the truth or not la). He really didn't struck me as the singing type though.

Pets and plants

I think i have been saying this for the longest time already. And each time my thoughts are always rejected. Both places that i am staying doesn't allow pets. Don't say the place, even the owners do not allow pets saying it was troublesome and dirty.

i have always loooooonnnngggg to have a pet.

Not something soft and cold. Not hard and cold either ( i had enough of unwanted pests in the house). Not slimy and slippery too. Not green and passive also.

It should be soft and fluffy. Something active. Something like these :

I'm not entirely sure whether you can take a chipmunk as a pet. But imagine the wonders and the chaos if you can do so ^^

I'm a pretty racist person when it comes to pets. I like pets with nice colours. I dont like black colour animals especially black cats. They look so evil even if their fur shines in the day light. I like cute lil cats and dogs when they are babies. They are just so cute and cuddly.

Come to think of it, i'm not entirely a pet-less person. In fact, i have a few pets and they died and ran away...oopss...i should they swam away.

The first real pet i had was a pair of red-eared terrapins.

They died shortly after that. I dont know what happened T.T

Then i bought another pair of terrapins. Brought them up to kl for holidays and left them in the aquarium ( my uncle rears fish). Next time when i'm back, the whole aquarium is empty except for the 2 terrapins. Asked what happened. Been told that my two old good terrapins ate all the fishes as well as the fish foods.

Arent terrapins suppose to be herbivores?

Okay, put them outside in a those type of big dragon clay flower pots and filled them with water. By then they had already grown about 15cm long. Initially their baby sizes are around 5 cm. So imagine that.

One day, i got a call from my aunt saying that the rain was very heavily and the terrappins sort of swam away because the water overflowed in the pot.

Chadou.

So there goes my another pair of terrapins. And it happened on the day that i decided to give away my so called herbivourous pets to the temple.

Okay, fine. Nevermind.

Next stop i have another mouse pet. Actually it's not a pet la. My sister bought it for her experiments. After that then it becomes a pet because well...you cant throw it away nor u cant kill it so..the last resort was to keep it. lol.

This rodent of ours is very unique. While most mice have tails, this particular is tail-less. So if you look a far, you might mistaken it for a hamster instead. Furthermore, this pet of ours have a very interesting name.

Its name is kanasai.

Hey, dont give me that look. I'm not the one who named it.

Oh well, it died a year and a half later. It got real sick and yeah...died eventually.

It this some kind of weird sign saying that i shouldnt be allow to have pets? I hope not. I definitely want to have one.

And dont get me started on plants. They are just sooooo green and passive. Heck you dont even see if they are moving or growing. My mother loves plants. Yeah, it's nice and green. But dont you find it a bit too boring? I agree it is way more easier to care for than a moving animal. Honestly, i dont have any talent in caring for my plants.

Mum left me and my sister to take care of the plants because she went back to johor. A few days later, it started to get a lil yellow and brownish. And then one of the leaves dried up and was practically hanging like a dead fish. Several days later the same symptoms were seen on the rest of the other plants.

My sister did the watering. I did a little coz i forgot all the time and it still turn yellow-ish. While when my mum did the watering it didnt show any signs of going to die.

Dont say about normal plants...have you heard that cactuses died too? In my case yes.

Sis's bf brought back some live cactuses from cameron. A few months later....

The top cactus...well it looks like someone had sat on it. As for the bottom right, did you notice the unhealthy shade of yellow? It suppose to look like something on the left.

And now it's only left with 2 cactuses. Let's see how long it'll last =p

Boss sudah balik

Alas, my peaceful week had come to an end.

After a week of absence, the boss of the house had come back yesterday. She brought back lots of goodies like hometown food.

*squeeeaaaaaallllls*

It's been ages since i last ate these foods. Even if i'm back in hometown, still got no chance to eat these foods. Know why? These places are too far to be reach by foot. Plus together with the weather and mafan-ness, the interest just died voluntary.

I will try to find pictures on the net regarding the foods i have mentioned. Again, due to my greediness, i ate the food without taking any pictures. I only remembered it after licking the plate clean.

All time favourite anime

Animax just have the tendency to repeat nice animes shows frequently, don't they? And it didn't help much if they keep showing only one episode per series.

Been spending a few nights watching back to back episodes of undub slam dunk in Youtube. If not for animax, i would have been lazy to re-watch this wonderful piece of anime. You see, i had already watched the anime countless times and also read the manga for more than ten times at least but this particular anime just keeps on attracting me. You can never really get immune to it. At least, that's what i feel. I'm still have the same feelings now though.

I personally still think this is the best basketball anime series. You can really see the efforts being put into this animation. I like the most when they animate the shooting, dribbling, dunking and guarding scenes. No matter how many times of watching it, you still can feel the stupidity, humour and excitement. Unless you really hate basketball then i don't know la.

Anyway, if you just getting started on anime and don't know what to watch. Try this and you wont regret =)

Another outing

heh. Just watch another animation movie entitled storm riders : clash of evils with jazs and taipoh.

Thoughts:

For me, the animation along with the storyline and plots are quite okay. I wasnt expecting anything since i dont really know bout the storyline and stuff. The last storm rider movie that i watched was the one which came out in 1998. I love the fighting scenes and effects the most. So pretty. I dont really know how to put it into words. But it's quite different from animes like naruto and bleach.

Anyway, i find the flow was pretty smooth. The elements of fighting and romance are well balanced. And...

er...

i ran out of things to say.

It was a nice outing with great company. It would be nicer if my exams are earlier. Having 2 weeks of study break sounds so wasting. I would rather finish earlier and enjoy more.

*Sigh*

Cant get enough of vampires?

Just watched twilight with the gang on Saturday. Love it! Been thinking of buying the book when i was halfway through the movie ^^

I had lost count when i last saw a vampire movie. Wait, is there one?

Anyway, i'm glad it's not the typical kind of vampire movie where good guys will destroy the bad monsters. I never like buffy the vampire slayer too much because i feel that each episode is quite routine-ish.

At least this movie is somewhat different. And no, it's not because of the good looking actors and actresses. I like it so much because it's more towards the perspective of a girl towards the vampire and also how she come to accept the reality. So it's pretty refreshing that it's not focus totally on killing monsters and stuff.

I didnt know twilight was so so nice although i still have a lil interest in the book beforehand. And that interest was diminished instantly when i heard that Miss Kang is holding onto jojo's book. You want to know why? Try being in line after her in borrowing books. You'll learn the reason involuntary.

You hear me Miss Kang? Please return asap so i can read it =p
