Hello, if you aren't looking at the computer screen then where would you be looking at? Don't tell me, people are so blinded that they will mistaken a whiteboard for a computer screen?

"How you choose your colours and fonts?"


Seriously, you don't even need to install any complicated softwares to know how to choose colours and fonts la. Or are you trying to tell me you didn't use a computer before?

"A lossy compression method is one where compressing data and then decompressed it retrieves data that may well be different from the original......"

Huh? So you compressed then later u decompressed? Hmmm...very tricky.

7. lecture 6 - typography

"In multimedia, there are words that will appear in your title, menu, navigation ads....."

Whoever will be so smart until they forgot to put a text title or putting text in menu and stuff?

"Multimedia gave you the power to blend text and icons"


Since when that multimedia gives power? I thought it is more than one media? I only know that multimedia application gives you an opportunity to do those stuff. They never mentioned that using that will give you a boost of power though.

Ah...another misconception of the uses of internet. True we did use it to find information...but that isnt the main reason. Is using msn through internet consider finding information?

"screen readability, use the fonts : verdana/georgia/times new roman..."


Hey, i thought we are taught not to use times new roman in webpages?

8. Lecture 7 - navigation

"You are here : establish a home base and always provide a clear path to your destinations.."

Okay, i get the establish the home base thingy. But what does "you are here" meant? I'm know I'm here because I'm blogging bout this....

"Netscape isn't dead!"

Errr....thks for the additional highlight?

9. Lecture 8 -accessibility and usability

"Web accessibility also benefits others, including older people with changing abilities...."

Changing abilities as in? Transformation?

"why use the web?"

Do we really really really really need a reason for this?

10. lecture 11-digital audio

You have a guideline on where to use multimedia. Now there's another guideline on the use of sound on the web. What's next i wonder?

After 3 years of continuously reading lecture notes, I'm quite embarrassed to say that...i didn't know you can actually see the future by just reading slides...
